The zoo is great place to sketch people of all ages. This was a warm up sketch but I like the composition and the work I accomplished with my practice goal of using a variety of lines. I used marker and soluble pencil to make the marks and kept most of the lines bold, long and uneven. I was able to vary the pressure with which I drew and this resulted in range of line weights. I will go back soon so I can build my skills with drawing animals.
Deliberate Sketching 
I really like the way the arms blend together in this one. It’s a very visual expression of the parent / child relationship. Was this done on that very smooth paper?
