This is from my sketchbook from this past summer. My husband was chatting with his friend and colleague from graduate school, and I was sketching nearby. We were on a balcony in Colorado, enjoying the last light of the day and the warmth of the sun.

Deliberate Sketching 
You excelled with the color, light and shadows of the setting sun, and though you made it look simple, I know it takes your unique expertise!

Thank you, Terry, I kept trying to capture the low light from the setting sun. I think it is even more yellow than I painted it, but I was not quite brave enough to go for it.
