A California Driveway

A friend who has a lifelong love of Volkswagen vehicles had a few of us over to paint. She parked several out on the driveway, and we had a fun few hours painting on a perfect Southern California spring day.

    I love how you have captured the spirit of these vehicles. My family had a beetle(circa 1962) and my uncle had the bus – when they came to visit what a thrill for all of us to pile into it. I wish our beetle had been the color you depicted, it was white, but we went a lot of places in it, a faithful friend. Anyway. I am charmed by your picture.
