A Second Moonless Night

Sketch of a A Second Moonless Night by Sarah Sullivan

A Second Moonless Night

This is a second attempt at sketching our street from photographs taken at night. Last night’s sky had reds in it and I think that is more interesting than today’s purples. Both skies were made with lots of wet paint dropped onto wet paper.

Ahhhhhh – this is so FABULOUS. The motion, the colors, the lights and darks and suggestions – so many suggestions! You have left interpretation up to the viewer in many ways. Vangogh would be thrilled to see this, but not as much as I am. Big LEAP.
