Before we left Porquerolles this morning, we climbed up to the old Fort Sainte-Agathe, now a museum. All the island views were tempting from this lofty vantage point, but with just enough time for one quick sketch, I had to be decisive and went with the northwest view. Looking at it now, I wish I had not tried to put the old cannon into it. But even so, I like this as a last sketch from the French island of Porquerolles.

Pretty and colorful. Thks

⛵ HI DEARS! THE VIEW OF THIS LANDSCAPE, THROUGH ITS UNDULATING COMPOSITION, LIKE ITS COLORS, ACHIEVES THAT DEPTH OF SPACE.

Enric, that you for your kind support! This sketch reminds me how much I love cobalt blue and how well it says summer.

Hello Sarah! You are welcome. As you say, Cobalt Blue is a color that hardly needs white, as is often the case with Prussian or Ultramarine. It is also a relatively modern color that does not have so much tradition, but which is conducive to applying it directly.
