Nighttime Beachcombing

Yesterday night we walked along the shoreline and looked all around with flashlights. Besides illuminating the shells, clams, and crabs, the light made dramatic shadows from the people and the sand mounds. I loved the extreme lighting, and took lots of photos, one of which I used as a beginning for this sketch.

  2. This is stunning. I think one of my favorites of your work. It captures so well not just the look but the feeling of being outside on the beach at night. Very evocative.

Amazing. How many paintings a week do you do? I know it is not a matter of quantity, but I do envy your focus on painting and painting and painting. πŸ‘πŸ»
