A Good Group on a Footbridge

We gathered, my sisters and our younger female relatives, to celebrate my sister’s significant birthday. We walked along the Arizona Canal, where we were captivated by the sky, suculants, mountains, and reflections. Then everyone arranged themselves across a footbridge so I could take a group photo to paint this morning.

  1. I love this. And I enjoyed turning it upside down to see the reflection as the reality and then turning it back to the reality. It’s amazing how beautifully you have captured these two aspects of the scene with their similarities and differences.

    • Thank you, Claudia, there is so much about reflections that I need to learn. I had fun flipping it around too. As I worked, I kept realizing there were parts that I should have done differently, but even so, I like this little sketch.
