The model sat on the counter, and I painted her directly without drawing her first. She had an awkward sweetness that was visually emphasized by adding flowers alongside her on an imaginary doorstep.

Wow, I would love to see one of your works large scale. I can tell you from my experience, it was fun to have a lot of acreage to work with, and just go big and bold. Because there was also time for small and detailed, too, in such a painting.
