Path Between Juniper Trees

This is a closeup sketch of a path along a meadow edge in Colorado at my brother’s place. I like the shapes of the junipers and want to capture these each time I visit.

    I love the strongly directional lighting and darker areas, overshadowed by the clouds, further back. It feels a little bit ominous, like a storm is coming.

    And the shapes invite us in and lead us on the path! What is just around the edge? What a wonderful piece. Calm and cool colors but creates such interest. Nice!
