This is from Inspiration Point at Balboa Park, our nearby city park. I was there very early one winter morning and took photos, which I embellished quite a bit to convey how the early morning light felt to me.

Thank you! I thought of labeling it as a nocturnal. It is easy to go darker with black paper, but then the light on the sidewalk and foliage would have needed to be dimmed.

Thank you! It is mixed media- pastel pencil and gouache on black Stonehenge aqua paper. It is the pencil that gives the texture.
