View at the College on the 18th Day

We have been walking a lot up at the college. The grounds are open but, with the quarantine, next to nobody is there, an unusual occurrence at a university of 35,000 students. Our skies have been cloudy and windy with our California March rainstorms. I tried to get the feeling of an empty and chilly university in this sketch.

This is an acrylic sketch on a white surface.

You caught the windy turbulence in sky, AND greenery from rain, along with haunting emptiness Sarah.

This would make for a great CoVid SERIES: . A great time for expressive art!!

The clouds are tremendous! You really caught the movement. This is a really great painting. Everything about it! Even the buildings and trees seem synchronised with the movement of the clouds.

Your painting has a wonderful sensitivity – indicated so ably through a variety of textures, shapes and muted colors.
