Plane Approaching

Sketch of a the light a plane casts as it flys over the Florida Coast by Sarah Sullivan

Plane Approaching

We are visiting cousins along the Florida coast some 20 miles to the west of the Tampa Airport. This is the night view as I look out over the sea. The bright light is an approaching plane, not a star and the trees are lit by the light from our building. I love looking out at the glean on the ocean that the planes make as they near us and wanted to capture it.

This is a pastel sketch on black paper.
