Yesterday we walked over to the harbor and then took a water taxi to Isla de las Piedras (Stone Island). The island is really a peninsula with a long sandy beach, gentle swimming, and casual restaurants. We walked, swam, sat, talked, ate, and enjoyed the setting. This is a pen and watercolor sketch of some people who sat near us.

Really nice sketch, Sarah. My VERY FAVORITE part of it is: #1 – the man on the far left foreground – HIS RIGHT ARM, beneath the cuff of his shirt. LOVE the richness of the color, the values and the blending. #2 – I am also attracted to the long support pole going from right to left across the top and the values and blending in it. Nice work! Sending hugs – LOL.

Sheila, your comments always make me look back at my sketches. It turns out that I like the parts you like too!
